Thorsen Group Builds New Headquarters in Fredericia

29.1.2026

Thorsen Group has taken the next major step in the company’s development by moving forward with the construction of a new, modern, and energy-optimized headquarters in Prins Christians Kvarter near Erritsø, south of Fredericia. The building will cover a total area of approximately 2,668 m² and, in both function and architecture, will become a prominent landmark in the area.

The project is the result of close collaboration, characterized by a constructive process with Fredericia Municipality, Business Fredericia, as well as consultants and contractors, including Jensen & Nielsen, GPP Arkitekter, Fjord, and UBBE.

“This is a milestone for Thorsen Group. We are investing in our future and in Fredericia – a city and region we are proud to be part of. Fredericia is a central and attractive location with a strong business community. We want to strengthen our roots in the local area even further,” says Lars Frøvang Thomsen, CEO of Thorsen Group.

The Character and Architectural Identity of the Site

The new property is located on a 9,584 m² site with exceptional views of both the Old and the New Little Belt Bridge. The site’s location creates an interplay between scenic elements – forest and water – and its proximity to major infrastructure, including the motorway and railway, giving the building a strong visual identity and presence in the landscape.

The headquarters will be built as two connected structures – an administrative building and a workshop – with a central core housing shared functions such as reception, coffee lounge, and elevators. A key architectural feature is a bright three-story atrium with natural daylight and open connections, forming the heart of the administrative building. On the ground floor, an exclusive west-facing showroom will serve as an open and inviting space for exhibitions, conferences, and networking events, while the top fourth floor will feature a communal canteen, meeting rooms, and a large rooftop terrace.

The headquarters will be prominently visible from the Taulov motorway and is designed to stand out as an elegant landmark, consolidating Thorsen Group’s activities within modern, future-proof facilities and signaling the company’s strong presence and commitment to Fredericia.
