Weptos is a Danish company founded in 2007 by designer and engineer Tommy Larsen, developing a new type of wave energy converter (WEC) designed to transform ocean waves into renewable energy.
Weptos’ technology is fully scalable and adaptable to various wave conditions at any location, ensuring economic viability and flexibility across different environments.
The company has received a DKK 12 million grant from the Danish Energy Agency to build full-scale rotors for its first 1 MW wave energy converter.
